In order to reduce the coil dimension, it is possible to avoid using the bobbin, but however guaranteeing the products mechanical structure.
The turns can be fixed to each other using a wire with self-bonding enamelling, fixed by blowing hot air on the coil during winding or, over-heating the already wound coil, by means of the resistance effect (Joule effect) in case the current is passed trough the coil.
