The motor control is able to reach the required position and torque, but the slides are equipped also with the load cell for direct monitoring of the force, and the linear encoder for direct monitoring of the electrode position.
Thus, we have the possibility of:
- adjusting the power on the electrodes during each phase of the welding process;
- controlling the position of the electrodes during each phase of the welding process;
- monitoring and displaying (graphs) indicating process parameters.
These conditions are essential to assure the repeatibility of the welding process.
